Guatemala - GreenGreen Coffee
Guatemala has got to be our favorite origin. Chocolate is the major overtone in this coffee with an undertone of citrus. If you're looking for a pleasant daily drinker then this is your coffee. Just perfect enough to please most coffee drinkers.
This coffee comes from the producer Jorge Perez. He has a small farm in the Huehuetenango municipality of San Antonio Huista. The farmers in this region are assisted with micro-loans, logistics help, and business management assistance from the local non-profit ADIESTO cooperative. They represent numerous certified organic producers in the region.
We're pretty confident and stand behind our coffee 100%. If you're not happy with your purchase we'll refund you or send you a bag of something else to try until you are happy.

Here's a little more information copied from the ADIESTO website.
"We are an Association of small coffee producers located in the mountainous area of the Huista region in Huehuetenango. Due to the altitude, between 950 and 1,800 meters above sea level, we produce parchment coffee with special SHB quality characteristics.
We have 550 members: 150 women and 400 men, dispersed in small coffee farms located in 30 communities, which are equivalent to 30 groups. All together we farm 358.7 hectares and produce 15,000 quintals of parchment coffee per year.
Each producer has received the necessary training to plant and harvest its own coffee in a sustainable manner. This applies also with the wet method of milling and drying of coffee. Our goal is to minimize the environmental impact produced by the processing of the product. We care for our resources: water, soil, forest, and the biodiversity found in the coffee farms."
