Here we have a classic coffee from the mother land of coffee; Ethiopia. If you didn't know, coffee is said to have originated from Ethiopia. With the amount of time that coffee has been growing in Ethiopia it makes sense that coffees from this region are some of the best in the world. Ethiopian coffees are known for sweet fruity and floral flavors. Washed coffees are typically more mellow in their flavors than natural processed coffees from the same area. Below are some of the details about this coffee so you can get a better idea of its profile.
The Kayon Mountain Coffee Farm is owned by multiple families that have been born and raised around the experience of coffee. These shareholding members had mainly been supplying coffee to auction for the past 30 years until they started their farm in 2012. This farm boasts a 500 hecatare spread, of which half is planted in heirloom Typica coffee and the other land reserved for cabbage, and indigenous shade trees. By 2015, they had implemented washing stations and dry-hullers allowing them to start exporting their own coffees and now see an annual production of about 300 tons. As for the future, Kayon Mountain plans to plant more coffee, improve the quality of their processing, and even begin leasing more land to expand their practice.
We're pretty confident and stand behind our coffee 100%. If you're not happy with your purchase we'll refund you or send you a bag of something else to try until you are happy.
